Nidra Śakti: The Power of Deep Rest Equinox Embodiment Journey

90 Min Embodiment Session $45

(Terms & Conditions)

Warmly welcoming you to our whole person balancing journey Nidra Śakti: The Power of Rest, this autumn equinox, the day of balance, where night and day are of equal length.

You are invited to align with the natural rhythms of the cosmos by journeying with this ritual in community.

Yoga Nidra (योग निद्रा) is a practice of guided deep relaxation that takes us gently to and from a journey, into the Alpha/Theta brainwaves, to the state of consciousness between waking and sleeping known as the hypnagogic state. This state is known to be optimal for rest and repair as well as neuro-plasticity.

Nidra has been shown to create more balance between the hemispheres of the brain and can help improve the functioning of the nervous system and endocrine (hormonal) system.

Because of the neuro-plasticity aspect, Yoga Nidra can be used as a tool to help integrate intentional change, and we’ll be using it in this way with our journey together.

We will begin in a circle to introduce the practice and create our Sankalpa (intention) and then relax, lying on the floor with soft cushioning and blankets to keep cozy. You will be guided by Jasmin, an experienced facilitator, into deep rest, with the gentle music & sounds of crystal bowls and other instruments to accompany our journey. We will finish up in circle to share a little of our experience (sharing is always optional) and then share some herbal tea.

Yoga Nidra is deeply refreshing and relaxing, and accessible for all with no experience necessary.

There is great power in deep rest. It can feel like a whole body reset or rebirth to some, or a gently and wholesomely relaxing experience for others. However you wish to journey, you will be supported and guided to enjoy this experience.

All welcome - no experience necessary - bring your blankie and enjoy!
