Wild at Heart: Whanau

Wild at Heart: Whanau welcomes the whole family to join in this all ages, monthly dance event.

(Terms & Conditions)

  • On the THIRD Friday of each month at 6:30pm

  • 60 min session

  • A Y U Community Space, 7 Crawford St. Dunedin

  • $30 = 1 adult + 1 child under 15 | $20 = 1 adult | $10 = 1 extra supervised child

  • Please note: Children must be supervised at all times

Come gather together for peace and unity, with our monthly free-style community dance in the ancient global tradition of ecstatic dance. The volume will be turned slightly lower than usual for these whanau dances.

Ecstatic Dance welcomes you exactly as you are, and invites you to the ritual of being wholly with the body, the people, the music & the dance that comes through you.

We dance in bare feet - no shoes, no booze.

This is a time to enjoy the empowerment and release of dance in a non-judgemental space. The epic tunes start off slow, then speeds up, then slows down again like a wave. Expect good bass and rhythms to move you. At the end people often feel refreshed, full of vitality, and pretty chilled out.

Wild at Heart Whanau is facilitated by Adele & Special Guests.

All welcome - no experience necessary - come and enjoy!
