Welcome to Ayanaant!

This is a deeply nourishing embodied journey of Yoga Nidra with richly layered, transformative sound.

We gather together our sangha (community) in kotahitanga (togetherness), so that we may experience this time of Matariki / Solstice with intention, acknowledgement and celebration of the elements, our ancestors, the people in our wider community and our future generations.

Matariki / Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night. Honouring this special time with ritual is a beautiful way to stay aligned with nature, as has been done for thousands of years throughout history, with Stonehenge rituals perhaps being the most famous in our culture.

Solstice is a good time to practice gratitude for what we have learnt and received, a good time to re-align with our highest purpose and to release anything that we no longer need.

Connect deeply into the felt sense with Yoga Nidra, while immersed in the healing sound waves of guitar with pedals, crystal singing bowls and other instruments.

The Yoga Nidra state taps into the Alpha/Theta brainwaves, or the hypnagogic state. This is where we have access to the conscious and the unconscious mind, and where the brain has a lot of plasticity. According to the Schumann Resonance theory, when in a state of Nidra, we align with the resonance of the earth. Nidra takes us on a journey of the frequency of nature, where we feel connected and at home.

Enjoy the healing effect of this journey on your whole person.

BYO blanket and keep cup for a warming drink to take away with you after 🙂
